The heart of the MCE is the Credit Report Server Module, which handles communications with the credit repositories, and storage of the consumers’ datasets in a Microsoft SQL Server or IBM DB2 database. System integrators can insert requests, then query the database for detailed results using ODBC and SQL statements.

	Server Module
	Watches for new requests. Handles data connection with the credit repository. Retrieves system-to-system consumer credit data. Stores it in the database.

The MCE Import and Export functions provide simple alternative ways to submit requests and retrieve  reports or subsets of the report and score data.

	Import Module
	Waits for your file containing one or more inquiries created by a web page or other program. Submits them as requests to the server’s database.

	Export Module
	Creates response files upon arrival of data in the database, or upon request. Formats data for easy use by other programs, or in human-readable report file layouts.

Merged XML (Option at additional cost)

Generates industry-standard single, double, and tri-merge credit reports as XML data. Designed for "behind the scenes" platform-neutral data interchange among participants in financial transactions. The most comprehensive XML data definitions for credit reports are the The Mortgage Banker's Association of America's MISMO specification and the human resources XML specification of the HR-XML Consortium, either of which can be chosen for the MERit Credit Engine's  XML option.

Generates industry-standard single non-merged credit reports as XML data.

System Requirements

The MERit Credit Engine has the following hardware and software requirements. (Not included.)

• Pentium 1GHz, 1GB RAM, or better.
• 100MB disk (Depending on volume and storage policies, disk requirements can be substantially larger.)
• Windows 2000+ Server.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000+ or IBM DB2 version 8+.
• Your system should be configured to meet the minimum system requirements of Win Server and the database you will be using.
