ActiveX
credit report interface provides access to credit report components with just a
few lines of code.
ActiveX is one of the ways you can use to develop custom interfaces to
Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union with the MERit Credit Engine. All modern
programming languages, including Visual BASIC and web server scripting
languages, can provide access to ActiveX objects, and therefore, to the MERit
Credit Engine.
COM Objects for Credit Reports
Only three ActiveX objects are needed, should you wish to work with the
credit engine this way.
The Credit Engine object |
Provides a simple way to add a monitoring
capability to your system. Use this to alert administrators if someone shuts
down the credit engine. |
The Credit Inquiry object |
Makes it easy for you to insert inquiries. A new
inquiry is usually the event that triggers the retrieval of a
credit report. |
The Credit Response object |
Will generate HTML, TTY, or custom reports,
as well as scores and summary information.
|
ActiveX components are able to handle most needs, but if you want to request
more complex credit bureau products, or you need to examine credit report
details more closely for custom decisions or custom reporting, you can go directly
to MCE's database using SQL, or the programming tools most familiar to you.
