Corelogic CREDCO Credit Report Tools and ProductsNews: First American recently split-off its Information Solutions Group to form a separate company, Corelogic. The text of its credit reports now show the name "Corelogic Credco". The change does not affect Merit Credit Engine customers using Credco for automated access to credit bureau data. The split took place in June, 2010. First American CREDCO provides one in every three credit reports used by the mortgage lending industry, and is a provider of Experian, Equifax and TransUnion reports to the automotive and direct-to-consumer industries. They are well-known for merged credit reports, but they can also provide single bureau credit reports. The MERit Credit Engine is capable of retrieving credit reports from First American CREDCO as raw data, from which it instantly populates database tables for use by your custom software application. Depending on your needs, you have access to the report details through database queries, XML data streams, or fully-rendered, human readable credit reports. Because the MERit Credit Engine API handles the communication protocols and parsing, credit report data from CREDCO can be handled the same way as credit reports retrieved directly from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. You might wish to use CREDCO for just one or two of the bureaus, while accessing the other bureau (or bureaus) directly. The MERit Credit Engine lets you retrieve data, then output in a number of text and XML formats, without regard to the source bureau access method. CREDCO Merged Credit ReportsFor merged credit reports, you can use the MERit Credit Engine's merge option with single-bureau reports as the source, or you can request merged reports from CREDCO. In the latter case, the MERit Credit Engine retrieves the already-merged print-image from CREDCO, stores it in the database as text, and provides it to your application without modification. If you have a credit bureau account through CREDCO, the MERit Credit Engine can be the interface that answers your custom integration and development needs. Please ask!
